Novar Estate was once described as a "barren and treeless place". Three hundred years later and under the stewardship of the same family, it is a thriving Highland estate extending to 20,000 acres and including farmland, forestry, hill, shooting, fishing and most recently alternative energy enterprises.
The Estate offers 5 self-catering holiday cottages, sleeping 2 to 12 people and dogs are welcome. The cottages are called; Braemoray, Fyrish House, Larch Cottage, Little Fyrish and Kinloch. They are each finished to a high standard and have been renovated within the last five years.
Ardtalla is our fully catered and staffed property for up to 18 and often taken in conjunction with sport on the Estate.
With over 150 miles of tracks on the estate there are routes to appeal to all standards of mountain bikers. Among the most challenging short routes is the path to the Fyrish Monument, an ascent of 1200 feet over 2 miles. For the less adventurous, other routes can be suggested to guests at Ardtalla with the chance of spotting red squirrels or even capercaillie en route.
The wider area offers a wealth of attractions and activities; Beaches, golf, dolphin trips, museums, local craft and distilleries to name but a few!
