Westward is a traditional built highland home in the small rural village of Cannich, close to the outstanding Glen Affric and not far Loch Ness.

We offer a friendly, comfortable bed and breakfast in the house with a guest lounge where you can relax after a full day exploring the nearby Lochs and Glens.

We also have a self-catering option in unique, handcrafted timber-framed eco microlodges. These have been designed and built by Alistair using our on-site sawmill and sustainable timber from the nearby forest.

There is a well stocked local shop 5 minutes away and a bar/restaurant available for evening meals.

Directly on the route of the long distance Affric-Kintail Way, Westward is the perfect base for exploring 3 of the most beautiful Scottish Highland Glens : Affric, Cannich and Strathfarrar with their numerous Munros, rivers and bountiful wildlife. A place to walk, paddle, climb or cycle – but if you need a bit of shopping therapy then Inverness, the capital of the Highlands is just a 40 min drive away.
